ProsperWorks Alternatives

ProsperWorks CRM has been built to offer deep integration with Google’s G Suite and to make the service look and feel like a Google product. This essentially means that its users don’t feel like they are frequently switching context as they move between different applications. Although this is a popular CRM app, it forces businesses to limit themselves to a G Suite-centric solution! Coming to TeamWave, it’s a complete platform to manage &  streamline everything (including sales) in your company: Project Management, CRM & HR.

Why TeamWave is the leading ProsperWorks alternative.

1. Focus on Small Business

Prosperworks has raised funding (venture capital) of $87 million till now. Typically, for a funded company the primary focus area is the “MRR” (Monthly Recurring Revenue) and their preference is to go after larger companies/accounts that provide larger revenues. Unfortunately, small businesses may not be considered a priority. That’s the reason why ProsperWorks comes with tiered pricing model with restricts features and the number of users.

No product or service is suitable for customers of all sizes (one size does NOT fit all).

TeamWave is a bootstrapped company, built from scratch by a small business (digital agency) for small businesses around the world. We have first hand experience (10+ years) of the issues & nuances of running a small businesses. Both of these factors help us stay focused on helping customers rather than providing ROI to investors. Our mission is to provide a unified platform for collaboration, sales & marketing to small businesses at an affordable price.

2. Familiarity

If you have tried out ProperWorks, you’ll feel right at home with TeamWave CRM. There are many features in TeamWave which are similar or better than what the G Suite-focused app offers. Here are some of the majors ones:

  • Visual sales pipeline (kanban style) with drag and drop deal movement
  • List view with customizable columns
  • Timeline view of deals (not available in ProsperWorks)
  • Unlimited number of users (restricted in ProsperWorks)
  • Unlimited records (restricted in ProsperWorks)
  • Sales automation to create deals and contacts via emails (not available in ProsperWorks)
  • Storing emails from any email service provider via unique BCC address
  • Mobile app
  • Chrome extension
  • Unlimited custom fields (restricted in ProsperWorks)
  • Unlimited storage (restricted in ProsperWorks)
  • Free API (available as per the pricing plan in ProsperWorks)
  • In-built reports (pipelines/activities/sales personnel)
  • Integration with Google Drive, Calendar, Gmail, MailChimp, Slack, Zapier and more

All these have been developed with a clear focus on the usability.

TeamWave CRM Pipeline View

To put into perspective, let’s look at the CRM-related activities you can do in the sales pipeline view shown above:

  • Check progress of each deal/opportunity in a nice visual sales pipeline
  • Add and move deals from one stage to another
  • Mark them as won/lost
  • Schedule deal activities
  • Select different sales pipelines
  • Figure out cumulative deal worth in each stage of the pipeline
  • Find out the rotten deals (no activity for specific number of days)
  • Toggle between list view and time line view of deals
  • Filter deals via tags, deal ownership and deal state (open, won, lost, rotten)
  • Quickly connect with support via in-app messenger

3. Pricing

ProsperWorks has tiered pricing structure that starts from $19/user/month and goes up to $119/user/month with annual billing. These pricing plans restrict you from using certain features and integrations (example: API).

TeamWave has a straightforward pricing – $3/user/month for annual subscription. All the plans get all the features and apps (CRM, Project Management, HR) without any restriction. Let’s look at the annual pricing for a 10-member company:

4. Application Suite

TeamWave is a unified platform for collaboration, sales and HR management. This means you’d get an application suite that integrates three apps. Some of the benefits:

Sales and Projects: Important files can be copied from deals to projects (example: requirement document) with a few clicks. Comes in handy when you commence project delivery after winning a deal.

Projects and HR: Project admin can keep track of the performance of the employees along with appreciation received from clients and log them as private notes in the HR app. During appraisal these notes can be reviewed for better decision making.

Sales and HR: In the HR app, if you add someone as the reporting manager of a sales rep, then the reporting manager will be automatically added as a deal follower whenever the sales rep adds a new deal. This fosters collaboration and helps in progress tracking.

Bottom Line

ProsperWorks app is completely centered around G Suite and offers only CRM solution at higher pricing. While it might be suitable for large enterprises, it definitely falls short in case of small businesses who need simple tools that come with native integration of essential business apps and provide powerful features at affordable price.

A revamped dashboard

Calendar in home page: New feature

The new calendar keeps all your project and HR tasks, activities, milestones, time-offs and events in one place. It’s easy to navigate between dates, weeks and months and see your scheduled activities. The account owner can now see everyone’s scheduled activities/tasks/events in a timeframe.

Editing tasks with ease: New update

Rather than loading a new page every time you edit a task, you can now edit and manage tasks on the same page from the task’s details pop-up.

Privacy in all sections in projects: New feature

Now you can choose who can see your tasks, discussions, files, events and notes since all sections in projects come with a privacy option.

Whenever a project is shared with a client, there might be some files/tasks which are only private to you or your team members and are not supposed to share with that client. In all those cases, you can make those tasks/files private to you or your team members by changing its privacy.

In this release, TeamWave comes with following privacy categories: Everyone, my team, only me.
